Hey everyone,
So here we are again; another autumn. As much as I enjoy the summer weather, and I try not to wish it away, as soon as I get into August I find myself looking forward to the fall season. The weather gets a littler cooler, the trees change colour and I get into that Halloween festive mood.
To top it all off, I received a couple of horror flicks I've been looking forward to in the mail today. I just finished up an unboxing for them, which you'll see live in the not-so-distant future.
I'm not one to do these, but these blu-rays just begged for a video. If you want to see how a proper one goes, check out Pizowell's right here. If you're into that sort of thing, you won't be disappointed.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy and here's to the autumn (and Halloween) season!
Cheers,
RyHo

Frustrations
I've only been back to this video making thing for a while now, but I am having a very hard time reaching my stride!
I used to be able to crank these out effortlessly and now I find I'm constantly making mistakes and flubs, which adds to how long it takes to produce the videos. I know, there isn't much to my videos right now, but they still take time to record, set up and upload - all of which I don't have much of lately. It's leading to lot of frustration.
I've been trying to make a follow-up to my The Expendables video from a few weeks back, pertaining to the sequel which is currently in theatres, and I can't seem to stitch a sentence together about that movie. I have a ton of thoughts on it, and I keep repeating myself, and making an incredible boring video in which I speak too much and too fast.
I'm not letting it discourage me, but it's definitely a mild annoyance. I still managed to get a new video up on Leviathan - a great late-80s deep water sci-fi horror The Thing rip-off that everyone should watch.
I also decided to make a vlog regarding my old videos, which you should also check out. I had a lot of messages about them and thought it made sense to address the issue in a video.
Anyway, I'll keep plugging at it, but bear with me for now and I hope you enjoy - even if my videos look like crap right now!
Cheers,
RyHo

Working Out The Kinks
![]() |
Badass. |
I was a little too "off the cuff" with what I had to say. I think I need to script my thoughts out a little more beforehand. There are so many things I meant to talk about and didn't, and a few things I wasted time on. It also helps cut down on me "umming and ahhing" through the video.
Also, I decided to record video for this one, instead of simply using audio commentary, and I really need to get a tripod if I intend to continue with this format. It's a little shaky to say the least.
That said, I still wanted to post a video about this movie, because I really enjoy it, and I think the points I wanted to touch on the most are in there.
I hope to increase the quality of my videos as I go forward, but I'm still a little rusty at this and I'm working out some kinks. Bear with me!
I hope you enjoy,
RyHo

Friday the 13th Part III 30th Anniversary
I just made my first video in a long while tonight, and it felt great. I hope this is the trend and I can continue to enjoy more movie banter on YouTube like I have for so many years.
It's regarding Friday the 13th Part III, a movie I'd already spoken about on the channel, but as you can see all of my videos have been removed.
There are a plethora of reasons for this, but in the end let's chalk it up to a fresh start.
Today marks the 30th Anniversary of the film, released originally on August 13th, 1982, and it felt fitting to start back with my favourite horror film on it's 30th birthday.
So, as always, I hope you enjoy and I hope that I can create more content and chat about more movies in the near future.
Cheers,
RyHo
The video should be live here any moment:
